Gamka's kloof - Die hel

Day 1
Wellington to Swartberg nature reserve, Die
Hel or Gamka’s Kloof you pick your favourite, it just is that they are all the
same place. Leaving Wellington
and working our way up and down eight mountain passes (five on gravel) ensures
that we spend the night under the stars in a valley that was upon till recently
only accessible by foot. A 600 gram T bone will put the grumbling stomach to
sleep but whom is going to stop the snoring. Put your tents far apart!
Distance
for the day 490 km

Day 2
If you
thought we used up all the passes getting there watch this space, we do eight
on the way back (again five on gravel) and no we do not return the same way!
Lunch will be had in a once flooded town and the customary parting beer at a
wooden deck in Wellington.
Distance
for the day 520 km
Note; For the
beginners trip we will travel the same route and depending on skill levels and
distances travelled adjust the days itinerary, its all about getting there safe
and having fun in doing so.
